- An establishing shot: is usually the first shot of a new scene, designed to show the audience where the action is taking place. It is usually a very wide shot or extreme wide shot.
- LOW ANGLE, HIGH ANGLE, CARTED ANGLE AND AERIAL SHOT:

EDITING:
- Juxtaposition: the fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect.
- Non continuity editing: Non-continuity editing is when shots are mismatched to disrupt the impression of time and space. This draws the audiences' attention to the process of cutting and disturbs the illusion of 'reality'. An example is the use of flash backs
- Crosscutting: Cross-cutting (also called split-screen) is a drama technique borrowed from the world of film editing, where two scenes are intercut to establish continuity. In drama and theatre the term is used to describe two or more scenes which are performed on stage at the same time
- Fast paced editing: Fast cutting is a film editing technique which refers to several consecutive shots of a brief duration (e.g. 3 seconds or less). It can be used to convey a lot of information very quickly, or to imply either energy or chaos.
- Post production effects: This includes tasks such as the editing of raw footage to cut scenes, insert transition effects, working with voice and sound actors, and dubbing, to name a few of the many pre-production tasks. Post-production is the third and final step in film creation. It follows the pre-production and production phases.
SOUNDTRACK
- Music: The song
- Digetic/non-digetic sound: non digetic: sound you can hear but characters cant. Digetic: Both you and the characters can hear
- Sound effects: DING BONK BEEP
- Sound Bridge: A sound bridge is a type of sound editing that occurs when sound carries over a visual transition in a film. This type of editing provides a common transition in the continuity editing style because of the way in which it connects the mood, as suggested by the music, throughout multiple scenes.
MISE EN SCENE
- Lighting:

- Location/set: Where the video is set e.g beach

- Blocking: A Media Block or Integrated Media Block is a component in a digital cinema projection system. Its purpose is to convert the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) content into data that ultimately produces picture and sound in a theater in compliance with DCI anti-piracy encryption requirements.
