Emmet , an ordinary LEGO figurine who always follows the rules, is mistakenly identified as the Special -- an extraordinary being and the key to saving the world. He finds himself drafted into a fellowship of strangers who are on a mission to stop an evil tyrant's (Will Ferrell) plans to conquer the world. Unfortunately for Emmet, he is hopelessly -- and hilariously -- unprepared for such a task, but he'll give it his all nonetheless.
It's main message is how as we grow into adults we lose the simple magic that was in our lives as kids. It also tells us to believe in ourselves.
Batman, superman, wonder women are some of the many warner bros characters.
Cloud cuckoo land, wild west, middle zealand and lego city are all lego products used in this film.

Locations: Matrix/real world and in the lego movie there is the real world and the lego world
Characters: Emmet = neo. Trinity= wildstyle. Vitruvius=Morphius.
Themes/messages: Believe in yourself.
Narrative: Neo (Keanu Reeves) believes that Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), an elusive figure considered to be the most dangerous man alive, can answer his question -- What is the Matrix? Neo is contacted by Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), a beautiful stranger who leads him into an underworld where he meets Morpheus. Evaluate the advantages and the disadvantages of the intertextual relationship between the matrix and the lego movie.
As the matrix is 20 years old the creators of the lego movie decided to make a modernised film set for a younger target audience. this is an advantage as now younger kids can enjoy the same script but it is suitable for them and as they grow older they can watch the matrix and see the similarities. Another advantage is many matrix viewers could watch this film and get the references and thoroughly enjoy them.
Some disadvantages could be the younger children might not understand the references and could just get confused
All together i feel the making of the film was an advantage.
